The DQ500 is a higher-capacity seven-speed wet-clutch DSG commonly identified by the 0BH or 0BT family. It is fitted to selected performance, SUV and commercial applications and can require mechatronic, clutch or internal gearbox diagnosis.
DQ500 Clutch-Position Sensor Faults
Codes such as P1735 or P1736 can require detailed testing of supply voltage, earth, communication networks, connectors, wiring and live clutch-position data. If external circuits and network operation test correctly, the fault may be internal to the mechatronic or clutch-position sensing system.

- Transmission warning, limp mode or loss of selected gears
- Harsh engagement or delayed take-up
- Clutch pressure, slip or adaptation faults
- Mechatronic hydraulic and electronic faults
- Clutch contamination or internal mechanical damage

Repair And Dismantling
When clutch damage or metal contamination is suspected, the gearbox may require removal and dismantling. A definitive parts quotation may only be possible after the clutch, shafts, bearings, selectors, magnets, oil and casing have been inspected.
