DSG diagnosis is more than reading a fault code. A reliable repair decision may require electrical, hydraulic, software and mechanical testing together.
Our Diagnostic Process
- Customer history: when the fault occurs, temperature, driving conditions, previous repairs and whether it is intermittent.
- Full scan: transmission, engine, ABS, gateway and related control modules.
- Baseline checks: battery, charging system, fuses, power, earth, connectors and communication networks.
- Live data: clutch position, pressure, pump activity, selector data, temperatures, adaptations and plausibility.
- Mechanical assessment: road test, fluid condition, leaks, flywheel, mounts and internal noise.
- Findings: recommend repair, further testing, removal or dismantling.
Intermittent DSG Faults
Some faults require extended testing, cold and hot operation, or the vehicle to remain at the workshop. A fault may not be reproducible during a short appointment, and further diagnostic time may be recommended.
